HENRY WILES tops the AMA TT Event at the Illinois State Fairgrounds

  Henry Wiles of Blanchard, Michigan really enjoyed his trip to the Land of Lincoln. Despite rain which pelted the area and called for the cancellation on both Suday and Monday of the Mighty Magic Mile event, Wiles capitalized on the only event that was completed and left the capitol city the winner of the Saturday night AMA GNC Singles event held at the multi-purpose arena at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

  Wiles claimed the 25 lap A-Main ahead of runner up Joe Kopp of Mica, Washington. Jake Johnson, Sam Halbert and Glen Schnabel rounded out the top 5 finishers.

  The Mile event was first cancelled on Sunday after rain blanketed the area and was rescheduled for Monday, however; rain showers again hit the area forcing the event to again be postponed until the Monday after Labor Day when the AMA again invades the Capitol City!
